Bilona Ghee begins not with cream — but with curd (dahi). Fresh milk is first set into curd, then slowly hand-churned with a wooden bilona to extract butter. This butter is then gently simmered over a low flame until it transforms into pure, golden ghee.
This is the process described in the ancient Charaka Samhita. It preserves natural nutrients, fat-soluble vitamins, and medicinal compounds that industrial methods destroy. The result is a ghee that heals as much as it nourishes.
Most ghee sold today is cream-separated — a commercial shortcut that loses everything that makes ghee a true superfood. SweetStreet never takes that shortcut.

SweetStreet began with a simple belief — that the most nourishing foods are made slowly, with care, without compromise. Our Bilona Ghee is crafted in small batches in Tarari, Bhojpur, following the same process our grandmothers used. Each jar carries the aroma of wood fire, the patience of hand-churning, and the integrity of pure desi cow milk.
